Rick Kuan is a designer, art director, and animator originally from Malaysia. He graduated from SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) with a BFA in Motion Media Design. He also studied 3 years of Diploma in Multimedia Design in Malaysia before he went to U.S to pursue his further study in Motion Media Design.
After he graduated from Diploma in Malaysia, he went to work in a few digital agencies for 3 years. Later, he realized that he wanted more than just keep working in Malaysia, so he went to U.S to start his new journey.
He has the background in web UI design and motion design. Now, He is focusing on images making, developing ideas and concepts. He has a strong aesthetic on design and visual. He loves to work on different type of project, like interactive design, UI graphics, music video, projection mapping title sequences, commercial, broadcast design and graphic design.
During the years in U.S., he has worked with two great studios, Superfad and Logan as a designer/animator. I have worked on the brand liked Honda, Snapchat, Conde-Nest, Clinique, Northrop Grumman, NBC, Lexus, Youtube, and Microsoft. He also very lucky to worked on Namie Amuro's Golden Touch music video. He is grateful that he can work with a lot of different talented and wonderful creatives in the industry. He had learned so much from them, from the creative process to art direction.
